Itinerary

Day 1: AIRPORT > GALLE

Meet, Greet and you will be transferred to your hotel in Galle. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax and venture out to try numerous dining options in Galle.

Day 2: IN AROUND GALLE

In Galle you can explore this beautifully maintained Dutch Fort, is one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic images and is said to be the best-preserved fortified city in Asia. Walking around the myriad of streets today is a real treat. Most of the buildings of the fort mask the wonders that are to be found inside them; cavernous structures with grand rooms. A combination of historical and architectural significance had led Galle fort to be declared a world heritage site. There are many other activities you can experience here including a nice Sri Lankan meal in a local restaurant.

Take a guided walk of the fort with a local expert or enjoy a cookery class in a local house.

Day’s 3 & 4: GALLE > YALA

After breakfast you will proceed towards Yala National Park for two night’s luxury camping, an exclusive private jeep safari will be arranged at Yala National Park with an expert wildlife trekker. Yala National Park home to the world’s densest leopard populations. On this safari you will witness spotting leopards and countless other animals including sloth bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles and numerous species of birds.

There are plenty of other activities you can enjoy such as local village walks, historical temples, lake visits while you are stay at Yala or you can just relax back at camp within a tranquil surrounding.

Day 5: YALA > ELLA

Today after breakfast take the winding hill road through the rural villages towards the central highlands of Ella, check in at 98 acres resort in the middle of a tea plantation. Next two days you can enjoy the surroundings of Ella with a visit to the mini Adam’s Peak a trek worth taking and nine arched bridge build by the British.

Also there are many hiking trails you can go on or alternatively you can take a cycle tour to explore the rural life of Ella along the tea covered hills and mountains.

Days 6: ELLA > KANDY

After having breakfast at the hotel you will be taken to Ella station, if the luck is on our side we will try to get you the tickets to experience one of the scenic train journey’s in the world passing through the tea covered hills, waterfalls and scenic mountains or otherwise we will take the road to Kandy en-route visiting a tea plantation and a factory.

In the late evening your driver will take you the Temple of the Lord Buddha’s Tooth where you can participate in the evening pooja ceremony which is a magical experience.

Day 7: ACTIVITIES IN KANDY

Today you will discover Kandy with a city tour including a walk around the lake, bazaars of Kandy and the royal family’s botanical garden and the orchid house. After lunch at a local restaurant you are free to explore Kandy at your own pace or take a dip in the hotels swimming pool or take a boat ride on the Mahaweli River.

Day 8: KANDY > COLOMBO

After breakfast proceed to Colombo, En-route you will stop at Millennium Elephant Foundation where you can walk and wash an elephant, or optional visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage the home to the largest group of orphaned elephants in the world. The sight of herds of elephants splashing and playing in a river has charmed countless visitors.

Check in at your hotel and for the next two days you can explore Colombo at your own pace, Colombo is rapidly developing into a major international city with many new shopping malls providing ample opportunities for shopping and recreation. Colombo has a unique collection of colonial heritage buildings from the British Raj. The area called The Fort was the commercial centre of Old Ceylon. Colombo is an ideal location for rest and relaxation. Surrounding the city centre or Fort is the shopping area called Pettah with colourful bazaars and markets lining the streets. The best restaurants in the island are to be found in the city as well as a collection of world famous Old Empire hotels that hark back to a bygone era

Day’s 9th, 10th, 11th: DEPART FOR MALDIVES

Today you will be driven to Colombo International Airport in order to catch the outbound flight to Maldives, due to geographical location Maldives can be reached with less than one hour from Colombo. On arrival at Maldives you will be transferred to your resort by speedboat or by Sea Plane.
You can add any number of nights you desire depending on your budget, alternatively on this itinerary we have added 3 nights of leisure relaxing in the Maldives.

Day 12: DEPARTURE

Today you will be dropped at the airport for your return journey
